iccu.observer organizes the world’s information on E-GMP ICCUs to understand how they fail and what we can do to mitigate failures.
All E-GMP drivers can report driving and charging habits alongside whether they have experienced an ICCU failure. By collecting data from non-failing units, we can run statistical tests to compare failure and non-failure populations. Notable findings may be published on arXiv.org.

iccu.observer driving conditions study
E-GMP drivers contribute OBD diagnostic data from all their trips and charging sessions in order to develop statistically grounded theories on how the ICCU’s control logic works and how we can measure degradation over time.
All E-GMP drivers are invited to contribute whether or not they have had an ICCU failure already! Drivers in cold climates with at least 30,000 km on the odometer, those that have experienced ICCU failures already, those with allegedly “redesigned” replacement ICCUs from after Jan 2026, and those with Standard Range < 70 kWh batteries are especially encouraged to contribute.
